Problem:

I want to customize the Gnome 3 launcher.

Solution:

In Debian Wheezy you can edit the following css file: /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/gnome-shell.css
Restart the gnome-shell by pressing: ALT+F2 > r > Enter
