Problem:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (acroread) does not dispay the Arial font. Instead of using a similar (free) font it uses a totally different font type.
Solution:
- Install the package ttf-mscorefonts-installer from the deb-multimedia mirrors.
- This package downloads and installs the Microsoft True Type Core Fonts for the Web.
- After installation the fonts should be available in the following directory:
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/
Note:
- It can take a while until the Acrobat Reader recognizes and uses the new fonts.
